When she first started out as a speech pathologist, Annie used the common articulation cards from Super Duper and others. She quickly noticed that the words were either too difficult for a client at that level (such as "spider" for medial /d/) or had a phonetic environment that encouraged errors (such as "duck" for final /k/).
Annie thoughtfully created pages of "cards" targeting speech sounds using facilitative phonetic environments. For example, there are no labial consonants on the /l/ and /r/ pages, because labial consonants encourage /w/ substitution. "Leaf" and "rope" are out. Annie's pages are appropriate for use with the Cycles approach and traditional articulation approaches.
