Neurodivergence Navigation: A New Framework
In her years as a speech-language pathologist, Annie developed specialties in a few areas, and neurodivergence became a particular love. Working with neurodivergent children meant making rewarding connections with their family members, but as a speech-language pathologist, Annie was limited in what she could do, how much of a difference she could make. Outside of that realm, she is now free to help parents with the everyday challenges that may not even be related to communication, as well as with the acceptance and understanding of neurodivergence in the family.
Annie also works with neurodivergent teens on skills such as self empowerment and building relationships, including friendships. Annie's skills at neurodivergence navigation come partly from her many years as a therapist but more from being a person with ADHD herself and from having a family full of autistic individuals. Some people just have a feel for neurodiversity, and Annie is one of those people. A sort of supernanny of neurodivergence, there to help with what the family needs.
Neurodivergence navigation services are not only needed by children/teens and their families. Neurodivergence affects individuals and families in all areas and stages of life, preschool to work, young to not-so-young. Neurodivergent adults may find themselves having difficulty with relationships or at work, and Annie is a highly effective life coach for such situations. If you feel misunderstood, let Annie try to help.
Sessions are generally conducted virtually, but local Maryland clients are encouraged to ask about home or workplace visits. Sessions are done virtually with clients all over the world who speak English, Spanish, German, or ASL, the languages Annie is fluent in. We can also usually get by in French or Italian, as Annie has B1 skills in those languages.
The cost for neurodivergence navigation with Annie is $120 for 45 minutes or $160 for 60 minutes. Individuals do not need a medical diagnosis in order to benefit from this service; those questioning whether they or their family member could be neurodivergent can benefit greatly from this type coaching.
